Mouse pointer integration – This provides seamless mouse support between the Host machine and the Guest OS running inside the Virtual Machine.
Guest Additions has the following features. To install the VirtualBox guest additions for a VM, mount the VBoxGuestAdditions.iso file in your Virtual Machine as a virtual CD-ROM and install them from there. Guest Additions are provided as a single CD-ROM image file known as VBoxGuestAdditions.iso located in the installation directory of Oracle VM VirtualBox. Guest Additions are simply device drivers and system applications that optimize the guest operating system for better performance and usability. Guest Additions are designed to be installed in a Virtual Machine after the guest operating system has been installed. VirtualBox is programmed in Python, C, C++, and Assembly language. This guide, therefore, assumes that you have installed a VirtualBox on AlmaLinux 9 with a running AlmaLinux 9 as the guest OS.
My previous guide covered how to install and use VirtualBox on Rocky / AlmaLinux 9.
